Most of our current customers for digital audio multipair choose the very versatile Mini-AES/EBU version which features compact size, excellent flexibility and our renowned Double Reussen Shielding. This makes it an ideal choice for a wide range both analog and digital audio applications.
However, if the application is strictly AES/EBU digital audio in permanent installation, then a conventional foil shielded cable will perform well and offer considerable savings. We have substantial inventories of Gotham’s 16300 series which were purchased before the 2006 price increases.
These cables are not as flexible as the smaller Mini-AES 16500 series but their large solid wire conductors minimize attenuation and allow for quick installation and easy punch downs to IDC strips. They are well suited for fixed installation digital audio applications.
