The Gotham 10495 GAC‑2a is a professional-grade 6 mm double-shielded balanced audio cable designed for high-performance microphone and line-level applications. It features finely stranded bare oxygen-free copper conductors (25 × 0.10 mm, approx. 0.20 mm²) with foam-skin PVC insulation in white and brown. Encased under a velvet-matte black PVC jacket, the cable incorporates dual Reussen-style bare copper braid shields (100% coverage) wound in opposite directions, plus a central PVC separation tube (3.1 mm Ø) for roundness and mechanical stability. With conductor resistance under 92 Ω/km, shielding resistance below 20 Ω/km, capacitance below 125 nF/km between conductors (and under 189 nF/km to shield), and a characteristic impedance of 145 Ω at 20 kHz, it delivers pristine signal fidelity. Rated for 500 V conductor-to-conductor and 2,000 V conductor-to-shield test voltages, and flexible between –5 °C and +50 °C (extending to –30 °C to +70 °C in fixed installations), it offers durability and performance ideal for professional recording, broadcast, and live sound environments.
