The Gotham 10601 GAC‑2 AES is a professional-grade 6.0 mm double-shielded cable engineered for high-performance AES/EBU digital audio (and DMX) transmission. It features two finely stranded tinned copper conductors (7 × 0.25 mm, approx. 0.34 mm²) insulated with foam-skin polyethylene and arranged in a star-quad twist to maintain constant spacing and impedance—even when bent. This core is protected by dual layers of bare copper braid shields (Reussen-style) for 100% coverage and enhanced noise rejection, with stabilization provided by a PVC foil layer. Enclosed in a flexible, purple PVC jacket (Ø 6.0 mm), the cable delivers exceptional durability and handling. With conductor resistance under 60 Ω/km, attenuation of about 2 dB/100 m at 1 MHz, capacitance < 44 nF/km to shield and < 105 nF/km between conductors, and a tightly controlled 110 Ω ± 5% impedance, it ensures accurate, jitter-free digital audio transmission over long cable runs. Rated for test voltages of 500 V (conductor-to-conductor) and 2,000 V (conductor-to-shield), and operational between –5 °C and +50 °C (–30 °C to +70 °C when fixed), it is ideal for studio, broadcast, and long-distance digital interconnect situations
