10702 GAC-3 BALANCED AUDIO CABLE
Balanced Double-Shielded Neumann/Gotham Analog Audio Cable
Product Description
Product Description
The Gotham 10701/10702 GAC‑3 is a professional-grade 5.0 mm three-conductor microphone cable originally developed in collaboration with Neumann and praised for its ultra-flexible, low-profile round construction. It features three finely stranded bare copper conductors (96 × 0.05 mm, approx. 0.19 mm² each), insulated in PVC and color-coded (white, brown, green), twisted together with a viscose fiber layer for enhanced mechanical stability. The core is fully shielded by dual Reussen-style bare copper braids, providing 100% coverage and exceptional RF rejection—up to 115 dB at 25 kHz—making it ideal for phantom-powered microphones and installations requiring pristine signal integrity. Encased in a durable PVC outer jacket, the cable delivers excellent flexibility and resistance to movement stress at connector points. With conductor resistance under 90 Ω/km, shielding resistance under 20 Ω/km, capacitance below 150 nF/km between conductors and under 240 nF/km to shield, and a characteristic impedance of 10 kHz at 20 kHz, it ensures consistent, high-fidelity audio transmission. Rated for test voltages of 500 V between conductors and 2,000 V to shield, and operational between –5 °C and +50 °C (–30 °C to +70 °C when fixed), this cable is ideal for professional studio, broadcast, and stage applications requiring exceptional durability and performance.
This cable is ideal for: XLR, TRS, and other balanced audio connectors.
