Product Description
Product Description
The Gotham 11051 GAC‑4/1 Road is a professional-grade 7.0 mm star-quad microphone cable engineered for superior RF rejection and rugged performance in demanding environments. It features four finely stranded bare copper conductors (48 × 0.07 mm, approximately 0.19 mm² each) arranged in a precise star-quad geometry with low-capacitance polyethylene insulation, maintaining tight conductor spacing for optimal noise cancellation and minimal signal loss. The conductors are surrounded by a conductive viscose layer and dual Reussen-style bare copper braid shields, providing full 100% coverage and RF rejection exceeding 130 dB at 25 kHz. An inner PVC filler adds dimensional stability, while the ultra-flexible, road-tough PUR outer jacket offers outstanding abrasion resistance and handling properties in live sound and touring applications. With conductor resistance below 85 Ω/km, shielding resistance under 14 Ω/km, and capacitance less than 146 nF/km, the cable ensures clean, consistent audio transmission even over long distances. Rated for test voltages of 500 V between conductors and 2,000 V to shield, and suitable for operating temperatures from –5 °C to +50 °C in motion (–30 °C to +70 °C when fixed), the GAC‑4/1 Road is an ideal choice for professional stage, studio, and broadcast use where reliability is paramount.
This cable is ideal for: XLR, TRS, and other balanced audio connectors - especially on the road or in situations where the cable will be handled often.
