Product Description
Product Description
The Gotham 11201 GAC‑4/1 FRNC is a professional-grade 5.4 mm Star‑Quad microphone cable designed for maximum RF immunity and fire-safe performance. It features four finely stranded bare copper conductors (96 × 0.05 mm each, approx. 0.19 mm²) with low-capacitance polyethylene insulation, precisely arranged in a star‑quad geometry to maintain consistent spacing and halve signal loss. The core is wrapped with viscose fiber and shielded by dual Reussen-style bare copper braids, each offering 100% coverage, resulting in RF rejection in excess of 130 dB at 25 kHz. Housed in a halogen-free, flame-retardant (FRNC) black outer jacket, it provides outstanding flexibility and durability. With conductor resistance under 90 Ω/km, shielding resistance below 20 Ω/km, capacitance under 55 nF/km (between conductors) and 103 nF/km (conductor-to-shield), and a side‑circuit capacitance of 55 pF/m (135 pF/m quad), it ensures clear, consistent audio over long runs. Rated for test voltages of 500 V between conductors and 2,000 V conductor-to-shield, and flexible from –5 °C to +50 °C (–30 °C to +70 °C in fixed installations), it’s ideal for professional stage, studio, broadcast, and installation environments demanding both fire safety and superior signal integrity.
This cable is ideal for: XLR, TRS, and other balanced audio connectors - especially in installation environments where fire resistance is paramount.
