The Gotham 11401 is the magnetically shielded version of our flagship audio signal cable, engineered for professionals who demand uncompromising performance in even the most challenging environments. Built on Gotham’s advanced Star-Quad design, this cable delivers exceptional RF rejection, ultra-low signal loss, and consistent performance over long cable runs. By pairing opposite conductors for the signal path, the Star-Quad geometry effectively cancels incoming interference while reducing signal loss by up to 50%, achieving over 130 dB of RF rejection (at 25 kHz).
What sets the 11401 apart is its comprehensive 5-layer shielding system, combining multiple technologies to provide maximum protection against both electromagnetic and magnetic interference. Each of the four conductors is individually shielded with a conductive layer and Reussen-style copper coverage, then reinforced with conductive polyester separation layers and Gotham’s exclusive double Reussen shield, delivering dual 100% copper coverage with counter-wound strands. A final mu-metal tape layer adds magnetic shielding, making this cable uniquely suited for environments with high interference.
Constructed using high-grade LFOC (Linear Free Oxygen Copper) and low-capacitance PE insulation, the 11401 ensures pristine signal integrity and clarity. Despite its highly complex internal design, the cable remains ultra-flexible and durable, finished with a matte, non-reflective PVC jacket ideal for both studio installations and mobile use. In addition to serving as a premium single-channel microphone cable, its four-conductor configuration also allows it to function as a two-channel balanced cable with excellent crosstalk rejection.
